Mohawk or No Mohawk
That was the question........I guess at Coconino High School it is kind of a tradition for the basketball team to get Mohawks!! Justin debated about it for two day but the final decision was.......MOHAWK!!! Looks good huh?!
HE DID IT~!
JUSTIN MADE THE VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM AT COCONINO HIGH SCHOOL!!!!
It has been quite a process....the biggest obstacle for him was the fact that all players has to be able to run a 6 minute mile....that is fast!! Running has never been his favorite thing but he worked really hard and after running his first attempt at 6 minutes 10 seconds(dang it - so close) he jogged the second day to save his legs and then on day three.....he did it!! He did it!! 5 minutes 56 seconds...Yahoo! After that and another week of tough try-outs he has made the team..Paul and I are excited to watch this season of basketball!! But most of all we hope Justin has a great time playing

YAHOO!!! YIPPEE!!!
This has turned out to be a very, very good day!!! This is the week of basketball tryouts for Justin at his new school, Coconino High School. One of the requirements for the varsity team is that each player has to run a 6-minute mile....yes, that is 6 minutes...That just seems fast doesn't it?! Running has never really been Justin's favorite thing and he has been doing a lot of it lately to get ready for this timed test. The first run was on Monday and unfortunately his time was 6:10...just a bit too long which meant that he and everyone else that did not get it in 6 had to run the mile every day untill they get it... Today was the day!!! Justin's time today was............yes...... 5:56!!!! I was so totally excited to get his text that said, "I got it!". I had been silently praying all day that this would be the day. Now, on with two hour tryouts every night! Here's hoping he makes the team, but if he does not, I am still so very proud of him!! Good Job Justin~!

Happy 85th Grma Clark
October 2, 2010.....Grandma Clark turns 85 and we all decide to surprise her... She had no idea that the family would all be traveling to Pleasant Grove for her birthday!! We traveled in on Friday night...Partied all day Saturday and then traveled home on Sunday...Wow...what a whirlwind of fun!! Those that traveled from Flagstaff were: Paul, Leslie, Justin, Terri, Gary, Tyler, Erica, Blaine, Payton, Sharon Stoops(erica's mom), Crystal, Kristie and Tami and Miclaine Bendel. Most of us traveled together in Tami's van...sure did make the quick trip more fun...Grandma was so surprised that we were a bit worried for the first few seconds that we may have surprised her a little too much!! But she recovered and was so happy and excited that we were all there. We had a great time and made some great memories with family and friends...Happy Birthday Grandma, we love you.
Chris
In July we moved Christopher to Utah to live in our home in Pleasant Grove, Utah.....
He moved in with several other boys....Daniel McCarty, Mike Summerhays and Tyler Summerhays, also two more Chris', One they call ChrisVegas and the other they call ChrisDowntown........Oh the freedom!! It took a lot of elbow grease and work to get the house ready for the boys and then we had a little house warming party...So fun..

New Adventure
Paul has been trying his luck with a new adventure lately...He travels to Utah and purchases an SUV in relatively good condition and brings it back to Arizona. He makes any repairs, fixes and cleans then re-sales it. It has been going pretty great. His average turn around time to sell each vehicle is about 3 days!! It has given him something to do while being laid off to bring in a little extra $$. He has been to Utah many times in the past couple of months.......We are hoping this is a "Good" new adventure!!
